LOCAL GUSTS OF SE and SW WINDS, IN THE NORTH AND IN A PART OF THE CENTRAL DURING THE NIGHT, AND IN THE REST OF THE ADRIATIC TOMORROW, OF NE, TOWARD THE OPEN OF NW, 35-40, IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL DURING THE NIGHT OF NE UP TO 50 KNOTS. A RISK OF ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS.

SYNOPSIS

A trough with frontal system has approached the Adriatic from the northwest and it is expected to shift southeastwards.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

SE and SW winds 8-18, in places up to 24, turning in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic during the night to NE, toward the open sea to NW, 12-22, in the Velebit Channel NE up to 28 knots. Sea 2-3, increasing to 3-4. Visibility 10-20 km. Mainly cloudy with rain, showers and thunder, firstly in the North, in the evening in the rest of the Adriatic as well.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Moderate to strong SW and SE, in the North and in a part of the Central, in the morning in the rest of the Adriatic as well, moderate to strong NE, toward the open sea NW winds. Sea slight and moderate. Mainly cloudy with rain, showers and thunder, but towards morning in the North and during the forenoon in the greater part of the Central Adriatic becoming brighter.
