FROM THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT LOCAL GUSTS OF SE and SW, IN THE EXTREME SOUTH OF THE ADRIATIC AT FIRST OF NW WINDS, 35-40 KNOTS. A RISK OF LIGHT ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS IN THE NORTH ADRIATIC TOMORROW TOWARD MIDDAY.

SYNOPSIS

A ridge of high pressure has intensified briefly over the Adriatic, while a new trough with frontal disturbance is approaching from the northwest.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

Winds gradually turning to SE and SW 6-16, strengthening in the evening to 12-22, only in places up to 26 knots. In the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic at first still NW winds 8-18, in the extreme south up to 26 knots. Sea 2-3, in the South Adriatic 3-4. Visibility above 20 km. Mostly clear, but cloud increase is expected during the night.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Moderate to strong SE and SW winds. Sea slight, locally up to moderate. Gradual heavier cloud increase with light scattered rain in the morning and with a risk of isolated rain showers with thunder in the North Adriatic toward midday.
