LOCAL GUSTS OF NW WINDS 35-40, IN THE SOUTH AND IN A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC UP TO 55 KNOTS, EASING LATER ON. DURING THE NIGHT A RISK OF GUSTS OF SE and SW WINDS UP TO 35 KNOTS. IN THE OPEN OF THE SOUTH AND CENTRAL ADRIATIC SEA STILL 5-6 AT FIRST AND A LITTLE RISK OF ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS.

SYNOPSIS

A ridge of high pressure will intensify briefly over the Adriatic, but a new trough with frontal disturbance is expected to approach from the northwest later on.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NW winds 12-26, in the Central Adriatic up to 32, in the South Adriatic up to 38, easing and turning to SE 6-16, in the North Adriatic to SW 10-20 knots. Sea 3-4, in the open of the South and Central Adriatic 5-6, calming to 2-3, in the extreme south of the Adriatic to 3-4. Visibility 10-20 km. Clearing, but in the open sea of the South and Central Adriatic still a little risk of scattered rain, isolated rain showers with thunder at first.
