ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS. TOWARD THE OPEN SEA OF THE SOUTH AND OF A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC THIS MORNING LOCAL GUSTS OF SE and SW WINDS 30-40 KNOTS. IN THE SECOND PART OF THE DAY AND DURING THE NIGHT LOCAL GUSTS OF NW WINDS 35-55 KNOTS. SEA 5-6 IN THE SECOND PART OF THE DAY AND DURING THE NIGHT.

A trough with frontal system is approaching the Adriatic from the northwest.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic NW winds 15-25, in places up to 30 knots. Elsewhere SE and SW winds 10-20, turning in the afternoon to NW 20-30, toward the open of the South and of a part of the Central Adriatic up to 35 knots. Sea increasing to 3-4, toward the open in the afternoon to 4-5. Visibility 10-20 km. Mainly cloudy with scattered rain, isolated rain showers with thunder.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic partial clearing, elsewhere still variably cloudy with scattered rain or isolated rain showers with thunder, mainly toward the open sea. Strong and near gale force, toward the open sea up to gale force NW winds, easing in the North Adriatic in the second part of the night. Sea moderate and rough, toward the open sea up to very rough. Air temperatures will drop.
