SYNOPSIS

A deep trough is extending from the northwest toward the Adriatic, while a frontal system is expected to shift during the night and tomorrow.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

In the North Adriatic S and SW winds 12-22, south of Istria up to 26, easing west and north of Istria in the afternoon to 4-12 knots. In the Central and South Adriatic S and SW winds 6-16, strengthening this morning to 12-22, in places up to 26 knots, mainly toward the open sea. Sea 2-3, in the North, during the day in the rest of the Adriatic as well, increasing to 3-4, and calming west and north of Istria toward the end of the day to 2. Visibility 10-20, but in the extreme north of the Adriatic reduced to less than 1 km due to fog. Variably cloudy with scattered rain and with a risk of isolated rain showers with thunder.

Moderate to fresh, in places up to strong S and SW winds, west and north of Istria in the first part of the night still light to moderate. Sea slight, locally moderate, west and north of Istria in the first part of the night still smooth. Variably cloudy with scattered rain and with a risk of isolated rain showers with thunder.
