IN THE VELEBIT CHANNNEL THIS MORNING STILL LOCAL GUSTS OF NE WINDS 35-45 KNOTS. A RISK OF LIGHT ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS, PARTICULARLY IN THE SOUTH AND IN A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC. IN THE EXTREME NORTH OF THE ADRIATIC DURING THE NIGHT A LITTLE RISK OF FOG PATCHES.

SYNOPSIS

A field of high pressure over the Adriatic is slowly weakening and a deep trough is expected to approach from the northwest.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE and NW, in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic SE and E winds, 8-18, in the Velebit Channel NE up to 24, easing during the forenoon to 4-14 knots. Sea 2-3, in the South Adriatic this morning 3-4, calming in the afternoon to 1-2. Visibility 10-20 km. Variably cloudy with a risk of light scattered rain and isolated rain showers with thunder, mainly in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic and in the open sea.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

From the middle of the night light to moderate SW and S winds, in the North Adriatic up to fresh toward the morning. Sea smooth or slight. Variably cloudy with light scattered rain, isolated rain showers with thunder. A risk of fog patches in the extreme north of the Adriatic.
