IN THE SOUTH, AT FIRST IN A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC AS WELL, LOCAL GUSTS OF SE WINDS 35-45 KNOTS. SEA POSSIBLY UP TO 5 IN THE OPEN OF THE SOUTH ADRIATIC AT FIRST. IN THE SOUTH AND CENTRAL ADRIATIC ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS. IN THE NORTH ADRIATIC A RISK OF FOG.

SYNOPSIS

A shallow trough with frontal system is shifting across the Adriatic further southeastwards.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

In the North and Central Adriatic NW, in places along the coast NE winds, 6-16 knots, easing briefly in the North Adriatic in the afternoon. In the South, at first in a part of the Central Adriatic as well, SE winds 14-28, easing and turning in the open sea toward the end of the day and during the night to NW 6-16, in places up to 20 knots. Sea 2-3, in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic 3-4, in the open of South Adriatic possibly up to 5 at first. Visibility 5-15, in the North Adriatic possibly less than 1 km due to fog, mainly in the open sea. Variably cloudy with rain, showers and thunder in places of the South and Central Adriatic.
