SYNOPSIS

A field of high air pressure is intensifying southeast of the Adriatic, while a low over the western Mediterranean is deepening and slowly approaching the Adriatic.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

SE winds 14-28, in places up to 34, in the open sea of the North and Central Adriatic toward the end of the day and during the night up to 38 knots. Sea 4-5, in the North and Central Adriatic toward the end of the day possibly up to 6. Visibility 5-15, in the North Adriatic possibly less than 1 km due to fog, mainly in the open sea. Variably cloudy with light rain in places, in the North Adriatic during the night with a risk of isolated rain showers and thunder.

Strong and near gale force, in places up to gale force SE winds. Sea moderate and rough, in the open of the North and Central Adriatic possibly up to very rough. Mist in places, in the open of the North Adriatic a risk of fog patches. Variably cloudy with light scattered rain, in the North Adriatic with isolated rain showers and thunder, particularly from the middle of the night.
