SYNOPSIS

A field of high air pressure is intensifying southeast of the Adriatic, while a low over the western Mediterranean is deepening and slowly approaching the Adriatic.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

SE winds 14-28, in places up to 34 knots. Sea 3-4, in the open 4-5. Visibility 5-15, in the morning possibly less than 1 km due to fog, mainly in the open of the North Adriatic. Variably cloudy with light rain in places.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Strong and near gale force, in places up to gale force SE winds. Sea mainly moderate, locally up to rough, in the open of the North and Central Adriatic possibly up to very rough. Mist in places, in the open of the North Adriatic a risk of fog patches. Variably cloudy with light scattered rain, in the North Adriatic with isolated rain showers and thunder, particularly during the night.
