IN THE SOUTH ADRIATIC IN THE MORNING, AT FIRST IN A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC AS WELL, LOCAL GUSTS OF NW and NE WINDS 35-45 KNOTS. IN THE EXTREME SOUTH STILL A RISK OF ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS AND SEA UP TO 5 AT FIRST. A RISK OF FOG, MAINLY IN THE NORTH ADRIATIC THIS MORNING AND AGAIN DURING THE NIGHT.

SYNOPSIS

A field of a little lowered air pressure lies over the Adriatic, while a trough with frontal disturbance is shifting from the southern part further southeastwards.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NW and NE winds 6-16, in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic this morning up to 22, and in the open of the South Adriatic up to 28, dying away in the afternoon and giving way, firstly in the North Adriatic, to SE 4-14 knots. West and north of Istria variable winds 4-10 knots. Sea 2-3, in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic in the morning 3-4, and in the open of the extreme south at first up to 5. Visibility 10-20, in places possibly less than 1 km due to fog, mainly during the night and in the morning west and north of Istria. Variably cloudy with scattered rain in the North Adriatic in the evening and still with a risk of isolated rain showers and thunder in the extreme south at first.

SE winds strengthening to moderate, in places up to fresh. West and north of Istria light variable winds. Sea smooth or slight. Variably cloudy with scattered rain in the North Adriatic, mainly in the wider area of Rijeka. A risk of fog, mainly west and north of Istria.
