A RISK OF GUSTS OF SE WINDS 30-40, IN THE NORTH AND IN A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC IN THE FIRST PART OF THE NIGHT, AND IN THE REST OF THE ADRIATIC LATER ON, OF N and NW, ALONG THE COAST BRIEFLY OF NE 35-45, TOWARD THE OPEN UP TO 55 KNOTS, AND SEA 4-5. ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS. A RISK OF FOG PATCHES IN THE NORTH ADRIATIC AT FIRST AND TOMORROW.

SYNOPSIS

A trough with frontal disturbance is shifting across the Adriatic further southeastwards.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

SE winds strengthening to 10-20, south of Istria up to 24, turning in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic in the first part of the night, and in the rest of the Adriatic later on, to N and NW, along the coast briefly to NE, 12-28, toward the open sea up to 36 knots. Sea increasing to 2-3, south of Istria to 3-4, and in the open of the South and of a part of the Central Adriatic possibly to 4-5. Visibility 10-20, in places around 4 km, and in the North Adriatic at first possibly less than 1 km due to fog. A new cloud increase with rain, showers and thunder, firstly in the North Adriatic.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Moderate to strong, toward the open sea briefly up to gale force, N and NW, along the coast briefly NE winds. In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic tomorrow before the morning and in the rest of the Adriatic in the morning, winds easing to light to moderate. Sea slight and moderate, in the open of the South and of a part of the Central Adriatic during the night possibly up to rough. Mainly cloudy with rain, showers and thunder. In the northern part of the Adriatic, till the morning elsewhere as well, partial clearing. A risk of fog patches in the North Adriatic, mainly in the morning.
