LOCAL GUSTS OF SE, THEN OF NW, AND IN PLACES ALONG THE COAST OF THE NORTH ADRIATIC BRIEFLY OF NE WINDS, 35-50 KNOTS. SEA POSSIBLY UP TO 5 IN THE OPEN OF THE NORTH ADRIATIC LATE IN THE DAY. A RISK OF THUNDERSTORMS, PARTICULARLY IN THE SECOND PART OF THE DAY.

SYNOPSIS

A low will be shifting from the Ligurian Sea across the Adriatic eastwards.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

SE winds 14-28, in places up to 36 knots. In the North Adriatic from midday and in the Central late in the day and during the night, winds turning to NW 14-26, briefly up to 32 knots, only in places along the coast of the North Adriatic to NE. Sea 3-4, in the open of the North Adriatic late in the day possibly up to 5. Visibility 10-20 km. Variably cloudy with scattered rain and with a risk of isolated rain showers and thunder, particularly in the second part of the day.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Moderate to strong NW winds, briefly up to near gale force, and in places along the coast of the North Adriatic briefly NE. In the South Adriatic moderate to strong, in places up to near gale force SE, turning to SW, then to NW, and tomorrow morning again to moderate to strong SW winds. Sea slight and moderate. Variably cloudy with scattered rain or isolated rain showers with thunder.
