LOCAL GUSTS OF NE and NW WINDS 35-45, IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL AT FIRST STILL UP TO 50 KNOTS. LIGHT ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS, MAINLY IN THE SOUTH AND IN A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC.

SYNOPSIS

A field of low pressure over the Adriatic is filling up gradually.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE and NW winds 12-22, in places up to 26 knots, dying away in the North Adriatic late in the afternoon. In the South Adriatic at first still SE and SW winds 10-20 knots. Sea 2-3, in the South and in the open of the Central Adriatic 3-4. Visibility above 20 km. Partial clearing, but in places still variably cloudy with a risk of scattered rain or isolated rain showers and thunder, mainly in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic.

Light to moderate, in the South and Central Adriatic up to fresh, NE and NW winds. Sea smooth or slight, in the South Adriatic still up to moderate during the night. Fine or fair and colder. In the extreme south of the Adriatic variably cloudy with a risk of isolated rain showers and thunder.
