SYNOPSIS

A ridge of high pressure is extending over the Adriatic from the northwest.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE and N winds 12-24, in places up to 28, from midday up to 34 knots, mainly in the open sea of the Central and South Adriatic. West and north of Istria N and NW winds 6-16 knots. Sea 3-4, in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic toward the end of the day and during the night possibly 4-5, mainly toward the open, west and north of Istria 2-3. Visibility 20 km. Mostly clear with some clouds in places at first.

Moderate to near gale force, in the open of the Central and South Adriatic possibly up to gale force NE and N winds. West and north of Istria light to moderate N and NW winds. Sea slight and moderate, in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic up to rough, mainly toward the open. Mostly clear.
