LOCAL GUSTS OF NE WINDS 35-45, IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL AND IN THE EXTREME SOUTH OF THE ADRIATIC LATE IN THE DAY AND DURING THE NIGHT UP TO 55 KNOTS. A LITTLE RISK OF LIGHT ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS IN THE OPEN SEA.

A field of high pressure lies over the Adriatic.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE winds 6-16, in places up to 20 knots, mainly in the Velebit Channel and in the extreme south of the Adriatic. Toward the end of the day and during the night NE winds strengthening to 12-24, in the Velebit Channel and in the extreme south of the Adriatic up to 28 knots. Sea 2-3, in the open and in the Velebit Channel increasing to 3-4. Visibility 20 km. Along the coast mostly clear, but locally in the open sea variably cloudy with a little risk of light scattered rain or brief isolated rain showers with thunder.
