IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL, DURING THE NIGHT AND TOMORROW MORNING IN THE REST OF THE NORTH AND IN THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC, LOCAL GUSTS OF NE and NW WINDS 35-50 KNOTS. A RISK OF ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS, MAINLY IN THE EXTREME SOUTH AT FIRST AND IN THE CENTRAL AND SOUTH ADRIATIC DURING THE NIGHT.

SYNOPSIS

A shallow field of low pressure with frontal system is slowly shifting from the Adriatic southeastwards.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

In the North and Central Adriatic NE and NW winds 6-16, in the Velebit Channel, during the night elsewhere as well, NE winds 14-26 knots. In the South Adriatic SW and NW winds 10-20 knots. Sea 2-3, in the South, during the night in the rest of the Adriatic as well, 3-4. Visibility 10-20 km. Variably and mainly cloudy with scattered rain and isolated rain showers, and with a risk of thunder, mainly in the extreme south at first and in the rest of the Adriatic during the night.

Moderate to strong NE and NW winds. Sea slight and moderate. Mainly cloudy with rain, showers and thunder in places, while in the North Adriatic precipitation is expected to cease and the sky to clear up later on.
