LOCAL GUSTS OF SE, IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL BRIEFLY IN THE MORNING OF NE WINDS, 35-45 KNOTS. SEA TOWARD THE OPEN AND IN THE SOUTH ADRIATIC STILL UP TO 5 TODAY. LIGHT ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED.

A trough with frontal system will be shifting across the Adriatic.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

SE winds 14-28, in places up to 32, gradually easing to 12-24 and turning in the North Adriatic to SW, in a part of the Central Adriatic in the evening to NW 6-16, in places up to 22 knots. Sea 3-4, toward the open and in the South Adriatic 4-5, gradually calming in the evening. Visibility 10-20 km. Mainly cloudy with scattered rain and with a risk of isolated rain showers and thunder. Rather warm.

Light to moderate, in places briefly up to fresh SW and NW, in the Velebit Channel NE, and in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic strong, in places up to near gale force SE winds. Sea slight and moderate. Overcast with rain, showers and thunder. Air temperatures will gradually drop, except in the South Adriatic.
