LOCAL GUSTS OF NW and NE WINDS 35-75, IN THE SOUTH ADRIATIC AT FIRST OF SE and SW WINDS 35-55 KNOTS, EASING LATER ON. IN THE NORTH ADRIATIC TOMORROW AGAIN GUSTS OF SE WINDS 30-40 KNOTS. SEA AT FIRST 5-6. ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS.

SYNOPSIS

A low with cold front is shifting across the Adriatic further eastwards and a new trough with frontal disturbance will be approaching from the northwest tomorrow.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NW, in places at first NE winds, 14-30, in the open sea briefly up to 40, easing to 10-20, in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic to 20 knots. In the South Adriatic at first SE and SW winds 16-36 knots. Sea 3-4, in the open 5-6, calming in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic late in the day to 2-3. Visibility 10-20 km. Mainly cloudy with rain, isolated rain showers and thunder, particularly in the southern part of the Adriatic. In the North, then in the greater part of the Central Adriatic clearing is expected.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Becoming clear, but in the North and Central Adriatic toward midday a new cloud increase with a little risk of light scattered rain. Light to moderate, in the South Adriatic up to strong NW winds, easing and giving way later on to SE, which will strengthen to light to moderate, in the North Adriatic to moderate to strong. Sea smooth or slight, in the South Adriatic at first and in the North around midday up to moderate.
