SYNOPSIS

A ridge of high pressure is intensifying over the Adriatic from the west.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NW winds 10-20, in the South and Central Adriatic up to 26 knots. Along the coast of the South and of a part of the Central Adriatic NE winds 10-22 knots. Sea 2-3, in the open of the South and Central Adriatic up to 4. Visibility 20 km. Mostly clear, but in the South Adriatic still variably cloudy with a risk of scattered rain, isolated rain showers and thunder, mainly in the extreme south and in the open sea.

Mostly clear, but in the open of the South Adriatic variably cloudy with a risk of rain, showers and thunder. Light to moderate, in the South and Central Adriatic moderate to strong NW, and along the coast of the South and of a part of the Central Adriatic light to fresh NE winds. Winds will ease in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic toward midday to light. Sea smooth or slight, in the open of the South and Central Adriatic up to moderate.
