IN THE SOUTH ADRIATIC FROM THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT A RISK OF GUSTS OF SW, ALONG THE COAST OF SE WINDS, 35-45 KNOTS. IN THE NORTH AND IN A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC SEA UP TO 5. ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS.

SYNOPSIS

A ridge of high pressure is intensifying from the west, while a field of low pressure over the Central Mediterranean is deepening.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE winds 12-22, in places up to 28, in the North Adriatic up to 34, and in the Velebit Channel up to 42 knots. In the South Adriatic SE and E, along the coast NE winds, 6-16, in places up to 20, and from the middle of the night SW and SE 14-26 knots. Sea in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic 3-4, locally up to 5, mainly toward the open sea, elsewhere 2-3, increasing during the night to 3-4. Visibility 10-20 km. Variably cloudy with a risk of scattered rain or isolated rain showers with thunder, mainly in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic.

Moderate to strong, in the North Adriatic up to near gale force, and in the Velebit Channel up to gale force NE winds. In the South Adriatic moderate to strong SW, along the coast SE winds. Sea slight and moderate, in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic up to rough, mainly in the open sea. Variably cloudy and a little colder with a risk of scattered rain or isolated rain showers and thunder, particularly in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic.
