SYNOPSIS

A field of high pressure over the Adriatic is weakening, while a trough with frontal system is approaching from the northwest.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic SE and SW winds 4-10, gradually strengthening late in the day and during the night to 12-24 knots. In the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic NE and NW winds 6-16, gradually dying away and giving way during the night to SE 8-18 knots. Sea 2-3, in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic during the night 3-4. Visibility 20 km. Gradual cloud increase, bringing rain and a risk of isolated rain showers with thunder in the northern part of the Adriatic late in the day.

SE winds further strengthening to strong and near gale force. Sea slight and moderate. Mainly cloudy with scattered rain or isolated rain showers with thunder, particularly in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic.
