IN THE SOUTH AND IN A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC AT FIRST STILL LOCAL GUSTS OF NE and N WINDS 35-45 KNOTS. IN THE NORTH AND IN A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC BEFORE THE MORNING LOCAL GUSTS OF SE WINDS 35-45 KNOTS. A RISK OF ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS IN THE NORTH ADRIATIC LATE IN THE DAY.

SYNOPSIS

A field of high pressure is slowly weakening, while a trough with frontal system is approaching from the northwest.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

In the Central and South Adriatic NE and N winds 10-20, easing around midday to 6-16 knots, and dying away before the evening. In the North Adriatic mainly SW winds 4-10, before the evening SE as well, strengthening to 8-16 knots. Sea 2-3, toward the open of the South Adriatic at first 3-4. Visibility above 20 km. Mostly clear, but cloud increase from midday, firstly in the North Adriatic.

Wind turning to moderate and fresh SE and SW in the rest of the Adriatic as well, and strengthening in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic before the morning up to strong. Sea smooth or slight, in the North Adriatic during the night up to moderate. Variably cloudy with scattered rain and a risk of isolated rain showers with thunder in the North Adriatic.
