IN THE NORTH, DURING THE DAY IN THE CENTRAL, AND DURING THE NIGHT IN THE SOUTH ADRIATIC, LOCAL GUSTS OF NE WINDS 35-55, IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL UP TO 80 KNOTS. SEA INCREASING LOCALLY IN THE OPEN TO 5, IN THE OPEN OF THE NORTH ADRIATIC POSSIBLY UP TO 6. ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS.

A low with cold front is shifting across the Adriatic southeastwards.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

In the Central and South Adriatic SE winds 12-26 knots. In the North, then in the Central Adriatic as well, NE winds strengthening to 14-28, in the Velebit Channel up to 40 knots. Sea 3-4, increasing in the open of the North and Central Adriatic to 4-5, in the open of the North Adriatic possibly up to 6. Visibility 5-15 km. Mainly cloudy with scattered rain, isolated rain showers and thunder. Air temperatures significantly lower in the North, then in the Central Adriatic as well.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Moderate to near gale force NE winds gradually spreading to the South Adriatic, and easing west of the Istria. Sea slight and moderate, in the open up to rough. Overcast with rain, showers and thunder, but clearing is expected in the North Adriatic.
