LOCAL GUSTS OF SE WINDS 35-45, IN THE NORTH ADRIATIC IN THE SECOND PART OF THE NIGHT, IN THE MORNING IN A SMALLER PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC AS WELL, GUSTS OF NE 35-60, AND IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL UP TO 75 KNOTS. IN THE NORTH ADRIATIC IN THE MORNING SEA LOCALLY UP TO 5. A RISK OF THUNDERSTORMS, PARTICULARLY DURING THE NIGHT AND IN THE MORNING.

SYNOPSIS

A deep trough is approaching from the northwest while a low is expected to generate over the Gulf of Genoa.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

SE winds strengthening to 12-24, in places up to 28 knots. Sea 2-3, late in the day increasing to 3-4. Visibility 5-15 km. Heavier cloud increase, bringing rain and a risk of isolated rain showers with thunder in the North, toward the end of the day in the rest of the Adriatic as well, particularly in the northern part in the evening.

Moderate to strong , in places up to near gale force SE winds, in the North, and in a part of the Central Adriatic in the morning, turning to strong and gale force NE winds. Sea slight and moderate, in the morning in the North Adriaticup to rough. Overcast with scattered rain, showers and thunder.
