SYNOPSIS

A field of high pressure lies over the Adriatic. A deep trough with frontal system is approaching from the northwest.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

Calm or variable winds 5-10 knots. During the night SE winds gradually strengthening to 8-18 knots. Sea 1-2, increasing during the night to 2-3. Visibility 10-20, in places during the night possibly less than 1 km due to fog. Fair or mainly cloudy with a risk of a little rain. In the North Adriatic during the night heavier cloud increase with rain.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Moderate to fresh SE winds, in places of the North and of a part of the Central Adriatic up to strong later on. Sea smooth or slight, tomorrow around midday in the North Adriatic up to moderate. In places in the morning still a risk of mist and fog. Mainly cloudy with rain in places of the North Adriatic.
