WARNING
STILL A RISK OF FOG PATCHES IN THE EXTREME NORTH OF THE ADRIATIC AT FIRST. IN THE SECOND PART OF THE DAY LOCAL GUSTS OF SE WINDS 35-50, IN THE NORTH ADRIATIC FROM THE SECOND PART OF THE NIGHT OF NE WINDS UP TO 60, IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL IN THE MORNING UP TO 80 KNOTS. IN THE SOUTH ADRIATIC DURING THE NIGHT AND IN THE OPEN OF THE NORTH ADRIATIC IN THE MORNING, SEA UP TO 5. A RISK OF LIGHT ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS, MAINLY IN THE SOUTH ADRIATIC, AND FROM THE SECOND PART OF THE NIGHT IN THE NORTH ADRIATIC OF THUNDERSTORMS.
SYNOPSIS
A deep trough with frontal system is approaching the Adriatic from the northwest.
WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS
SE and S winds 6-16, strengthening during the day to 12-24, in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic in the evening up to 28 knots. Sea 2-3, in the extreme south, in the afternoon in the rest of the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic, 3-4. Visibility 10-20, in the extreme north of the Adriatic at first still reduced to around 5 km due to mist, or even to less than 1 km due to fog. Variably and mainly cloudy with rain in places and with a risk of isolated rain showers and thunder, mainly in the South Adriatic.

Moderate to near gale force SE and S, gradually turning in the North Adriatic to strong and near gale force, in the Velebit Channel in the morning up to gale force, NE winds. Sea slight and moderate, in the South, in the morning in the open of the North Adriatic, up to rough. Overcast with rain, showers and thunder.
