A RISK OF FOG PATCHES IN THE NORTH ADRIATIC THIS MORNING. IN THE SECOND PART OF THE DAY LOCAL GUSTS OF SE WINDS 35-50, IN THE EXTREME NORTH OF THE ADRIATIC IN THE SECOND PART OF THE NIGHT OF NE UP TO 60 KNOTS. SEA LOCALLY IN THE SOUTH ADRIATIC DURING THE NIGHT UP TO 5. A RISK OF LIGHT ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS, MAINLY IN THE SOUTH, DURING THE NIGHT IN THE NORTH ADRIATIC AS WELL.

SYNOPSIS

A deep trough with frontal system is approaching the Adriatic from the northwest.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

SE and S winds 6-16, strengthening during the day to 12-24, in places of the Central and South Adriatic in the evening up to 28 knots. Sea 2-3, increasing in the extreme south, during the day in the rest of the South and in part of the Central Adriatic, to 3-4. Visibility 10-20, in places of the North Adriatic this morning reduced due to mist, or due to fog to less than 1 km. Variably or mainly cloudy with scattered rain and with a risk of isolated rain showers with thunder, mainly in the South Adriatic.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Moderate to near gale force SE and S, in the extreme north of the Adriatic in the second part of the night strong and near gale force NE winds. Sea slight and moderate, in the South Adriatic up to rough later on. Overcast with rain, showers and thunder in places.
