SYNOPSIS

A low centered south of Sicily is extending a trough over the Adriatic, while a new trough with frontal disturbance is approaching from the northwest.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

Calm or SE winds 4-14, in the extreme south of the Adriatic up to 20 knots. Sea 1-2, locally up to 3, in the extreme south of the Adriatic possibly up to 4. Visibility 10-20, in places possibly less than 1 km due to fog, mainly in the North Adriatic during the night. Variably cloudy. Rain, showers and thunder expected mainly in the extreme south of the Adriatic. A little risk of scattered rain or a very little risk of isolated rain showers and thunder elsewhere.
