SYNOPSIS

A shallow field of low pressure lies over the Adriatic, while moist and unstable air is still circulating in high levels.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic NE winds 10-20, in the Velebit Channel up to 24, easing around midday and turning to SE and E winds 6-14 knots. In the rest of the Adriatic, from midday in the southern part of the North Adriatic, SE winds 6-14, in the South Adriatic from midday 12-24 knots, easing later on. Sea 2-3, locally at first 3-4. Visibility 10-20 km. Variably cloudy with scattered rain, isolated rain showers and thunder.
