IN THE OPEN SEA OF THE NORTH ADRIATIC A RISK OF GUSTS OF SW WINDS 35-40, IN THE EVENING, FIRSTLY IN THE NORTH ADRIATIC, LOCAL GUSTS OF NE WINDS, STRENGTHENING TO 35-50, IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL UP TO 55 KNOTS. A LITTLE RISK OF LIGHT ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS TOWARD THE END OF THE DAY AND IN THE EVENING.

SYNOPSIS

A trough with frontal disturbance is shiftinig north of the Adriatic and a ridge of high pressure will intensify again from the northwest.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

SW, along the coast SE winds as well, 6-16, in the North Adriatic up to 20, in the open sea up to 24, turning in the evening, firstly in the North Adriatic, to NE 12-24, in the Velebit Channel up to 28 knots. Sea 2-3, in the open of the North Adriatic around midday and in the rest of the Adriatic during the night, 3-4. Visibility 20 km. Fine or fair, in the North Adriatic mainly cloudy, with a risk of light scattered rain or brief isolated rain showers and thunder toward the end of the day and in the evening.
