SYNOPSIS

A broad field of raised air pressure over the Adriatic is gradually weakening, while a trough with frontal disturbance is approching from the northwest.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

Calm or variable winds 4-10, in the South Adriatic during the day still NW up to 14 knots. In the North Adriatic during the night SE and SW winds gradually strengthening to 4-14 knots. Sea 1-2, locally in the extreme south of the Adriatic during the day up to 3. Visibility 5-15, in places possibly less than 1 km due to fog. Fine or fair, in the North Adriatic heavier cloud increase with a little rain in places late in the day and during the night.

SE and SW winds gradually strengthening to light to moderate, in the North Adriatic up to fresh. Sea smooth, in the northern part up to slight. Mist in places and still a risk of fog at first. Fine or fair, in the North Adriatic variably cloudy with scattered rain, toward midday with a risk of isolated rain showers and thunder.
