SYNOPSIS

A ridge of high pressure from the west is intensifying over the Adriatic.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

In the North Adriatic NE and N winds 4-12, in the south of the region up to 24, easing to 4-10, and in the open sea SE wind is expected, reaching 5-15 knots. In the rest of the Adriatic NW, along the coast NE winds, 15-30, easing to 12-24 knots. Sea 3-4, in the open of the South and of a part of the Central Adriatic up to 5 at first. Visibility 20 km. Mostly clear, but in the south of the Adriatic still with a little risk of scattered rain at first.

Mostly clear at first, but becoming variably cloudy later on. In the North Adriatic light, in the open sea up to moderate SW and SE winds. In the rest of the Adriatic moderate to strong NW winds easing to light, in the South Adriatic to moderate. Sea smooth or slight, in the South and Central Adriatic up to moderate at first.
