IN THE SOUTH AND IN A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC AT FIRST STILL A RISK OF GUSTS OF SE WINDS AROUND 35 KNOTS. SEA LOCALLY IN THE OPEN TOWARD THE END OF THE DAY UP TO 5. ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS.

A deep trough with cold front is shifting across the Adriatic.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

In the North Adriatic NE winds 16-32, in the Velebit Channel up to 38, easing slowly west of Istria during the night to 6-16 knots. In the rest of the Adriatic SE and SW winds 8-18, in places up to 24 knots, mainly in the southern part of the Adriatic, and turning gradually during the day to NE and N 14-28, in places up to 34 knots. Sea 2-3, increasing to 3-4, locally in the open late in the day up to 5. Visibility 10-20 km. Variably cloudy with scattered rain, isolated rain showers and thunder. Partial clearing is expected in the North Adriatic late in the day.
