IN THE NORTH ADRIATIC LOCAL GUSTS OF NE WINDS 35-45 KNOTS, EASING TOMORROW TOWARD MIDDAY. LIGHT ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS IN THE SOUTH AND CENTRAL ADRIATIC.

SYNOPSIS

A ridge of high pressure from the northeast lies over the Adriatic, while some moist and unstable air is still circulating in high levels over the southern part of the Adriatic.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

In the North Adriatic NE winds 8-18, in the Velebit Channel up to 22, and along the west Istrian coast in the afternoon mainly NW winds 4-14 knots. In the South and Central Adriatic SW and NW, during the night NE winds, 4-14 knots. Sea 2-3, in the open of the North Adriatic and in the Velebit Channel possibly up to 4. Visibility above 20 km. Mostly clear, but in the South and Central Adriatic still variably cloudy with a risk of light scattered rain or isolated rain showers with thunder.

Light to moderate, in the North Adriatic up to fresh NE winds, easing slowly tomorrow toward the midday. Sea smooth or slight. Mostly clear, but in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic still variably cloudy with a risk of light scattered rain or isolated rain showers with thunder, mainly in the open sea.
