IN THE NORTH, DURING THE NIGHT IN A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC AS WELL, LOCAL GUSTS OF NE WINDS 35-45 KNOTS. IN THE SOUTH AND IN A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC LIGHT ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS.

SYNOPSIS

A ridge of high pressure is extending over the Adriatic from the northeast, while moist and unstable air still lies in high levels.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic NE winds 8-16, in places up to 24 knots. Elsewhere NW winds 6-12 knots, turning toward the end of the day to NE. Sea 2-3. Visibility 15-25 km. Mostly clear, but in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic variably cloudy with scattered rain, brief isolated rain showers with thunder. No significant change in air temperatures.

Mostly clear, but in places of the southern part of the Adriatic still variably cloudy with rain or brief isolated rain showers with thunder. Light to moderate, in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic up to strong NE winds, easing till midday. Sea smooth or slight.
