SYNOPSIS

A ridge of high pressure is extending over the Adriatic from the northeast, while moist and unstable air still lies in high levels.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE winds 10-20, in the North Adriatic up to 26, and in the Velebit Channel at first up to 30, turning around midday in the greater part of the Central and South Adriatic to NW 4-14 knots. Sea 2-3, locally up to 4, mainly in the North and in the extreme south of the Adriatic. Visibility 20 km. In the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic variably cloudy with scattered rain, isolated rain showers and thunder, mainly in the open sea, in the afternoon along the coast as well.
