SYNOPSIS

A ridge of high pressure is extending toward the Adriatic from the northeast, while moist and unstable air is still circulating in high levels.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

In the North Adriatic NE winds 10-20, in the Velebit Channel up to 24 knots, easing briefly around midday, in the Central and South Adriatic NE and NW winds 4-12, only in places up to 16 knots. Sea 2-3, toward the open of the North Adriatic and in the Velebit Channel possibly up to 4. Visibility 10-20 km. Partly clear and a little warmer, but still with variable cloudiness in places and with a little chance of isolated rain showers with thunder.
