SYNOPSIS

A ridge of high pressure is extending over the Adriatic from the north.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

North and west of Istria mainly calm and sea 1-2. Elsewhere N and NW winds 12-24, in the South and Central Adriatic up to 30, easing to 6-16, in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic up to 24 knots. Along the coast at first NE winds 12-24 knots in places. Sea 3-4, in the open possibly up to 5 at first. Visibility 20 km. Clearing, but still with scattered rain, isolated rain showers and thunder at first, mainly in the open sea and in the South Adriatic.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Mostly clear. In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic calm or light NW winds, elsewhere moderate to strong NW winds easing to light to moderate, in the extreme south of the Adriatic up to fresh. In places along the coast light, in the South Adriatic up to fresh NE winds. Sea smooth or slight, in the South, at first in a part of the Central Adriatic as well, up to moderate.
