IN THE CENTRAL AND SOUTH ADRIATIC LOCAL GUSTS OF N and NW, IN THE NORTH ADRIATIC AT FIRST OF NE WINDS, 35-45 KNOTS. ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS IN THE CENTRAL AND SOUTH ADRIATIC.

SYNOPSIS

A shallow field of low pressure is shifting across the Adriatic southeastwards, while a ridge of high pressure is intensifying from the west.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

In the Central and South Adriatic N and NW winds 12-22, toward the open sea up to 28 knots. In the North Adriatic mainly NE and NW winds 5-15, in places at first still NE up to 24 knots. Sea 2-3, in the open of the South and of a part of the Central Adriatic 3-4. Visibility 10-20 km. Variably and mainly cloudy with scattered rain, isolated rain showers and thunder, mainly in the Central and South Adriatic today and during the night. In the North and Central Adriatic gradual clearing late in the day.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Moderate to strong N and NW, in the North Adriatic light to moderate NE and NW winds. Sea smooth or slight, in the open of the South and of a part of the Central Adriatic up to moderate. Mostly clear, but in the extreme south of the Adriatic in the morning still with isolated rain showers and thunder.
