SYNOPSIS

A trough with cold front is shifting across the Adriatic southeastwards.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic SW winds 12-26 knots. Elsewhere NW, at first still SE and SW winds 12-26, toward the end of the day NW easing to 4-14 knots. Sea 3-4, toward the end of the day and during the night in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic calming to 2-3. Visibility 10-20 km. Mainly cloudy with rain, showers and thunder, in places possibly with more abundant precipitation. Partial clearing is expected toward the end of the day and during the night, firstly in the north of the Adriatic, but still with a little risk of scattered rain.

Mostly clear, but still with some more cloud and a little rain in places at first, in the North Adriatic a new gradual cloud increase with rain, showers and thunder. In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic light to fresh, in places at first up to strong SW winds. Elsewhere light to moderate NW winds. Sea smooth or slight, locally in the North Adriatic druing the night possibly up to moderate.
