SYNOPSIS

A ridge of high pressure is extending over the Adriatic from the west.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NW winds 4-12, in places of the Central and South Adriatic up to 16, gradually easing toward the end of the day and turning in the North Adriatic to SE winds 6-16 knots. Sea 2-3, in the North Adriatic in the afternoon and in the rest of the Adriatic toward the end of the day and during the night, calming to 1-2, but increasing again in the North Adriatic during the night to 2-3. Visibility 10-20 km. Mostly clear.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Mostly clear, but in the North Adriatic gradual cloud increase with scattered rain and with a chance of isolated rain showers and thunder, mainly along the coast. In the North Adriatic SE winds strengthening to moderate to fresh and turning toward the open and along the west Istrian coast to SW winds. In the Central, in the morning in the South Adriatic as well, light to moderate, in northern Dalmatia during the forenoon up to fresh SE winds. Sea slight, in the South Adriatic smooth.
