ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS. LOCAL GUSTS OF SE WINDS 35-50 KNOTS, GRADUALLY EASING IN THE NORTH ADRIATIC IN THE AFTEROON, TOWARD THE END OF THE DAY AND DURING THE NIGHT IN THE CENTRAL, AND IN THE SECOND PART OF THE NIGHT IN THE SOUTH ADRIATIC AS WELL. SEA 4-5, CALMING IN THE NORTH ADRIATIC TOWARD THE END OF THE DAY AND IN THE CENTRAL DURING THE NIGHT.
SYNOPSIS
A low with frontal disturbance is shifting across the Adriatic further eastwards.
WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS
SE winds 15-30, in places up to 35 knots, mainly toward the open sea, gradually easing in the North Adriatic in the afternoon to 10-20 knots and turning to mainly SW, only briefly to NW winds. Sea 4-5, calming in the North Adriatic toward the end of the day to 3-4. Visibility 10-20, in places with rain around 5 km. Overcast with rain, showers and thunder, in places possibly even heavier.
WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS
Variably or mainly cloudy with scattered rain, isolated rain showers with thunder. In the Central and South Adriatic strong, in places up to near gale force SE winds, gradually easing to light to fresh and turning to SW, briefly to NW winds, firstly in the central part of the Adriatic. In the North Adriatic light to fresh S and SW winds. Sea moderate and rough, calming in the North, then in the Central Adriatic as well, to slight and moderate.
