IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL AND IN THE EXTREME SOUTH OF THE ADRIATIC AT FIRST, AND IN THE SOUTH AND IN A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC DURING THE NIGHT AND TOMORROW MORNING, LOCAL GUSTS OF NE WINDS 35-45 KNOTS. LIGHT ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS STILL POSSIBLE IN THE SOUTH ADRIATIC TODAY.

A field of high pressure is intensifying over the Adriatic.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE winds 6-16, in the Velebit Channel and in the extreme south of the Adriatic at first, still up to 20, easing and turning to NW 6-16, in the Central and South Adriatic up to 20 knots. Sea 2-3, in the extreme south of the Adriatic 3-4. Visibility 10-20 km. Mostly clear, but in the South Adriatic cloudy with a chance of rain or isolated rain showers with thunder.

Light to moderate, in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic up to fresh, and in the extreme south of the Adriatic up to strong NE winds. Sea smooth or slight, in the extreme south of the Adriatic possibly up to moderate. Mostly clear.
