LOCAL GUSTS OF NE WINDS 35-45 KNOTS, EASING ALMOST ALL ALONG THE ADRIATIC AROUND MIDDAY, EXCEPT IN THE EXTREME SOUTH OF THE ADRIATIC. IN THE SOUTH AND IN A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC STILL A CHANCE OF LIGHT ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS THIS MORNING.

SYNOPSIS

A trough with frontal disturbance is shifting across the Adriatic and a ridge of high pressure will intensify from the northeast.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE winds 12-24, easing a little almost all along the Adriatic around midday and turning to NW 6-16, in places of the Central and South Adriatic up to 20 knots. In the extreme south of the Adriatic NE winds 12-24 knots. Sea 2-3, in the extreme south of the Adriatic 3-4. Visibility 10-20 km. Mostly clear, but in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic this morning still variably cloudy with scattered rain and with a chance of isolated rain showers with thunder.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Light to moderate, in the Central and South Adriatic at first still up to fresh NW, turning during the night to light, only in places up to moderate NE winds. In the extreme south of the Adriatic moderate to strong NE winds. Sea smooth or slight, in the extreme south of the Adriatic up to moderate. Mostly clear.
