IN THE NORTH, IN THE SECOND PART OF THE NIGHT IN A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC AS WELL, LIGHT ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS. IN THE NORTH ADRIATIC TOWARD THE END OF THE DAY AND IN A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC IN THE SECOND PART OF THE NIGHT AND TOMORROW MORNING, LOCAL GUSTS OF NE WINDS 35-55, IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL UP TO 75 KNOTS.

SYNOPSIS

A field of high pressure over the Adriatic is weakening, while a frontal system is approaching from the northwest and it will be shifting north of the Adriatic during the night. A field of high pressure will intensify again later on.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

In the North Adriatic NE winds strengthening to 12-24, in places up to 30, and in the Velebit Channel up to 40 knots. Elsewhere variable winds 4-10 knots. Sea 1-2, in the North Adriatic 2-3, till the end of the day 3-4. Visibility 10-20 km. Mostly clear, but cloud increase with scattered rain or isolated rain showers with thunder expected in the North Adriatic.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic moderate to strong, in places up to near gale force NE, elsewhere light to moderate NW winds. Sea smooth or slight, in the North Adriatic up to moderate. In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic variably cloudy with scattered rain, isolated rain showers and thunder. In the North Adriatic significantly cooler, elswhere just a little cooler.
