WARNING

A RISK OF LIGHT ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS IN THE NORTH AND IN A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC IN THE AFTERNOON AND DURING THE NIGHT. IN THE NORTH ADRIATIC TOWARD THE END OF THE DAY AND IN A PART OF THE CENTRAL FROM THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT, LOCAL GUSTS OF NE WINDS 35-60, IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL UP TO 75 KNOTS. IN A PART OF THE VELEBIT CHNANNEL IN THE MORNING LOCAL GUSTS OF NE WINDS UP TO 40 KNOTS.

SYNOPSIS

A field of high pressure over the Adriatic is weakening, while a frontal system is approching from the northwest, and it will be shifting during the night mainly north of the Adriatic, after which a field of high pressure will intensify again.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

In the greater part of the Adriatic variable winds, mainly SE and SW 4-12, and in the North Adriatic NE winds 6-16, in places of the Velebit Channel up to 22 knots, easing around midday and strengthening again toward the evening. Sea 1-2, in the North Adriatic 2-3. Visibility 10-20 km. Mostly clear, but cloud increase with a risk of isolated rain showers and thunder expected in the North Adriatic from midday and elsewhere later on.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

In the North Adriatic strong and near gale force NE winds, in the Velebit Channel up to gale force, spreading around midday to a part of the Central Adriatic. In the South Adriatic still light winds. In the southern part of the Adriatic sea smooth, in the northern part increasing to slight and moderate. Fine or fair, in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic cloudy with a risk of isolated rain showers and thunder.
