STILL TODAY A RISK OF LIGHT ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS IN THE SOUTH AND IN A SMALL PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC. IN THE AFTERNOON GUSTS OF NW WIND OF ABOUT 35 KNOTS LOCALLY IN THE SOUTH AND IN A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC.

SYNOPSIS

A ridge of high is intensifying from the west towards the Adriatic and an upper-air trough is moving to the east.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NW and W winds 6-16 knots, in the afternoon in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic NW wind up to 22 knots, westwards of Istria calm or wind from variable directions 5-10 knots. In the course of the night wind gradually diminishing and along the coast turning to NE wind 4-12 knots. Sea 2-3, in the afternoon and in the evening 3-4 in the open of the South Adriatic. Visibility more than 20 km. Fine to fair, still today locally in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic with variable cloudiness a risk of isolated showers with thunder.

Mostly clear. In the South and in a major part of the Central Adriatic light, only in some places also moderate NE winds, still at night towards the open sea NW wind. Elsewhere calm or light SE wind, in the morning towards the open sea also moderate. Sea smooth to slight.
