A RISK OF LIGHT ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS IN THE SOUTH AND IN A SMALL PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC. IN THE AFTERNOON GUSTS OF NW WIND OF ABOUT 35 KNOTS LOCALLY IN THE SOUTH AND IN A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC.

SYNOPSIS

A ridge of high is intensifying from the west towards the Adriatic and an upper-air trough is slowly moving towards the east.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

Mainly NW and W winds, in the morning locally along the coast also NE wind 5-15 knots, westwards of Istria wind from variable directions 5-10 knots. In the afternoon in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic NW wind 12-22 knots, diminishing at night. Sea 2-3, in the afternoon in the open of the South Adriatic 3-4. Visibility more than 20 km. Fine to fair while variably cloudy in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic, still today a risk of isolated showers and thunder.

Light to moderate, mainly NW and NE winds, towards the open sea in the North Adriatic SE wind. Sea smooth to slight, initially in the open of the South Adriatic also moderate. Mostly clear, in the South Adriatic variably cloudy.
