SYNOPSIS

A trough with frontal disturbance is approaching the Adriatic from the northwest.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

SE and SW winds 6-16, in places up to 20, turning in the evening and during the night to NW and NE 10-20, in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic brifly NW up to 26 knots. Sea 2-3, locally in the South Adriatic in the evening and during the night up to 4. Visibility 10-20 km. Variably and mainly cloudy and a little cooler with scattered rain, isolated rain showers and thunder in the North, toward the end of the day gradually in the rest of the Adriatic.

Moderate to fresh NW and NE, in the South Adriatic NW winds up to strong, gradually easing. Sea smooth or slight, in the open of the South Adriatic in the morning up to moderate. Variably cloudy, still with scattered rain and isolated rain showers with thunder, mainly in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic.
