SYNOPSIS

A ridge of high is spreading from the west over the Adriatic while a shallow low is slowly filling southwards of the Adriatic.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE wind 6-16, in places up to 20, in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic up to 28 knots. Midday and in the afternoon wind temporarily turning to NW 10-20, in the South and Central Adriatic up to 24 knots. Sea 3-4, locally in the open of the South and of a part of the Central Adriatic possibly 5. Visibility more than 20 km. Mostly clear, locally in the extreme south of the Adriatic variable cloudiness and a risk of a shower with thunder.
